Once upon a time, an old warrior gave advice to a young warrior who battled fear. The older asked the younger what he feared most. The young man confessed he feared death.

The old warrior told his young comrade to imagine himself already dead. Then, being dead already, he could focus on the battle and not his fear.

The young warrior took the advice. He survived battles in the air, throughout the lands, and among the seas. He became an old warrior who gave advice to young warriors. He wrote it down for them.

It’s a good day to live.
It’s a good day to die.
Whether I live or die,
I belong to my Lord!
He made today,
and dead or alive,
if I belong to Him,
it’s a good day!
